Fashion for Empowerment

One of best things we do all year is host a shopping event and fashion show to raise money for WE CAN – Women’s Empowerment for Cape Area Networking. The organization is all about empowering women to help them through life’s transitions, changes and progressions. They do this through mentoring, information, education, networking and support.

One of the aims of The Current Quarterly is to empower women through connecting them with the local business community, as well as help them gain confidence through style and fashion. Fashion is a powerful and important form of self-expression.

And we are proud to provide one opportunity for WE CAN clients and volunteers to choose a few outfits and strut their stuff on the runway.

It is also such a treat for them to get their hair professionally styled and makeup professionally applied, thanks to the generous and talented hair team (Stacey Kuehn is the best!) and makeup team who donate their time.

The event also features pop up shops from local boutiques, makers and organizations, giving women (and men!) the opportunity to shop them all in one place.

Join us for the event on Tuesday, April 23 from 5-8pm and help us raise money for a great cause. Tickets are $25 and are available here.
